Tibbits Opera House

Learn the story of the Coldwater community with a stop at the Wing House Museum. This impressive Second Empire home, with a mansard roof, was originally constructed for the son of the city’s first mayor. Eventually the home was sold to Civil War captain, county sheriff and prominent businessman, Lucius M. Wing.

Coldwater Country is also home to the longest running, continuously operating Community Theater in Michigan, a Professional Summer Theatre celebrating a milestone anniversary and a variety of entertainment options sure to please any group.

Known and loved for the historic setting and quality theatrical offerings, Tibbits Opera House has become a must see. Celebrating 50 plus years of Summer Stock at Tibbits, the Professional Summer Theatre will draw large crowds. Rounding out the year, many event, programs and shows also take place on the Tibbits stage.
